This last week was pretty interesting. We all worked on analyzing three old English poems and what makes a good old English poem. The three we read were The Seafarer, The Wanderer, and the Wife's Lament. Our group decided that the three major elements were mood, storytelling, and the detail. After everyone presenting, i felt like there is things we missed. There could of been more elements like religion, and the depressing theme. Over all though, i think we did a great job presenting and putting together what we saw as a team.
Also, we've been doing for writing in class coming from our own thoughts. Then we took a piece of our writing and incorporated it into another piece and made a whole new world of thoughts to share with the rest of the class. It's kinda cool hearing what other people we're thinking, and the way some put more emphasis on their words.
